Day 70:  “A, close the book.”
(book is turned upside down, and placed on her lap)
“A, close the book.”
“I don’t have a bookmark, I can’t.”
“You need to close the book.” (plus a book-closing hand-motion)
(A slams the book closed, throws it angrily on the floor.) “I’m taking a break.”
(A takes a break at the back of the room, and begins reading the book again.)

At this point, my homeroom partner sends A to the office. I later find out A told the principal I sent her to the office for reading her book … and was sent back to class.

Yeah … We’re ready for break.
